Winters seems to set in UP

Lucknow, Dec 1 (UNI) Winter seems to begin in Uttar Pradesh with most parts experiencing decrease in mercury after sun set.

The weathermen have attributed the coolness in weather to the chilly winds blowing in most parts of UP.

Meanwhile, Agra was the coldest place recording 9 degree Celsius temperature.

Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Agra, Allahabad and Faizabad witnessed downfall in mercury during the night.

Allahabad recorded 10 degree Celsius temperature, Bareilly 11, Lucknow 11, followed by Jhansi 12, Varanasi 13 degree Celsius.

A report from Mahoba said one person died of cold in Kajiyana Mohal area while another died in Moradabad.
