VST Tillers Tractors post record growth in turnover

Bangalore, Dec 1 (UNI) The city-based VST Tillers Tractors Limited, the largest manufacturer of power tillers in the country, has registered a 31.70 per cent growth in sales and 95 per cent increase in profit during the first six months of the current fiscal.

The total sales had touched Rs 75.17 crore from Rs 57.07 crore during the same period last year, while the net profit after depreciation (Rs 1.33 crore) had increased to Rs 8.08 crore from Rs 4.14 crore, according to a company release here today.

The growth was significant as compared to the profit of Rs 11.56 crore earned in the previous financial year.

The earning per share was Rs 8.59 as against Rs 4.49 for the corresponding period last year, the release said.
