Violence grips Porbandar

Rajkot, Nov 30 (UNI) A state transport bus was set ablaze by an irate mob at Porbandar tonight in protest against the alleged desecration of the statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar in Kanpur.

Porbandar Resident Deputy Collector (RDC) A I Mansuri told UNI over phone that a local state transport bus was torched by a mob around 2215 hrs, after passengers were forced to get down from the bus, near Narsangh Takeri in the city. No one was injured in the incident.

No arrests have been made so far and investgations are on, police said.
