Two persons killed, one seriously injured in road accident

Kolhapur, Dec 1 (UNI) Two persons and a bull were killed on the spot and another person and three bulls seriously injured when a tempo in which they were travelling, turn-turtle and fell into deep vally in Amba ghat section in Ratnagiri district on the Kolhapur-Ratnagiri highway.

The deceased persons have been identified as Asant Baliram Jadhav(35), Sawanta Ganpati Patil(25), a tempo driver and cleaner respectively, both hail from village Pisavee in Shahuwadi tehsil of Kolhapur district, police said yesterday.

The victims, including the injured Subhash Jadhav (40), were on their way back to Pisavee from Sangmeshwar carrying the four newly purchased bulls by a tempo, when the mishap took place.

The injured Subhash was rushed to nearby hospital, police said and added one bull was also killed on the spot and three injured in the accident.
