Suitcase containing Rs 14 lakh stolen

Bilaspur, Dec 1 (UNI) A suitcase containing Rs 14 lakh and other items has been stolen from the 8029 Shalimar-Howrah Kurla Express, Government Railway Police sources said today.

A Tatanagar-based private company employee, Mr Rajesh Mishra (25), was travelling from Tatanagar to Kurla along with two friends.

The company had provided him Rs 14 lakh in order to make payment in Raipur.

During night, Mr Mishra and his friends tied the suitcase with a chain and went to sleep. When they woke up in Raigarh in morning, the suitcase was found missing.

Police suspected that the incident took place near Jharsugda.
