Soren stable: AIIMS Doctors
New Delhi, Dec 1 (UNI) Disgraced Union Coal Minister Shibu Soren, convicted in the 1994 murder of his assistant, will remain in AIIMS for a couple of days, doctors said.
''Though Soren is stable he needs some medical intervention....
An angiography was conducted on him yesterday. The report on his health has been submitted in the court,'' AIIMS spokesperson Shakti Gupta told UNI.
Soren, who was taken into judicial custody immediately after the verdict, was admitted to coronary care unit (CCU) of the Cardiology department in AIIMS on November 28 after he complained of chest pain in the court complex.
A city court today again deferred till December 5 sentencing in the twelve-year-old case as Soren was not present during proceedings.
The Court instructed the AIIMS Director to ensure that the convict was produced on Tuesday.
Soren, who is also chief of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, was convicted for conspiring in the kidnap and murder of his private secretary Shashinath Jha twelve years ago.
Soren resigned from the Union Cabinet after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh asked him to put in his papers.
