Rs 2.6 lakh booty looted in Surat; three arrested

Surat, Nov 30 (UNI) Three persons, who looted a delivery man have been arrested and the stolen booty worth Rs 2.6 lakh has been recovered from them, police said.

A courier man Kamleshkumar Umaji Prajapati of Bharath Pravin Angadias who was travelling with cash on his bicycle was stopped by three unidentified persons near Katodara post office, police said.

The men, who arrived in an autorickshaw, stole money from Kamlesh and fled away in the same auto, yesterday.

But the victim wrote down the number of the autorickshaw and informed the police who after investigations arrested the accused and recovered the booty.
