Regional Sports Complex sanctioned in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Dec 1 (UNI) Maharashtra government has sanctioned a regional sports complex for Kolhapur, district guardian minister Harshwardhan Patil informed today.

Mr Patil told reporters that the complex is expected to cost about Rs 16 crore and would provide all sports facilities.

Shivaji University, Kolhapur has written to the State government to allow it to set up the sports complex at the University's 100 acre premises, Mr Patil said.

The matter will be studied in detail by discussing it with concerned sections and a final decision will be taken whether to set up the sports complex at the University land or other area, he added.
