Rajasthan CM visits Tripura
Agartala, Dec 1 (UNI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and MP Jyotiraditya Scindia arrived here today to meet the bereaved family members of late Maharaja Kirit Bikram Manikya.
According to police sources here, Ms Raje rushed to the late Maharaja's home and condoled the death of the king, who died recently at Kolkata.
The King's first wife Padma Raje is the elder sister of the Rajasthan Chief Minister and his second wife is the state's former minister and MP, sources said.
Ms Raje, later visited the historical Tripureswari temple in Udaipur, about 60 km from here to offer puja.
She is scheduled to fly to Kolkata this evening before returning to Rajasthan, sources added.
Security measures have been tightened here and on Agartala-Udaipur road in view of the Chief Minister's visit to the state.
