Rajasthan CM visists Tripura
Agartala, Dec 01 (UNI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Basundhara Raje and MP Jyotiraditya Scindhia arrived here today to meet the bereaved family members of late Maharaja Kirit Bikram Manikya.
According to police sources here, Ms Raje soon after arrival rushed to the late Maharaja's home and condoled the death of the king, who died recently at Kolkata.
The Kings first wife, Padma Raje, was the elder sister of the Rajasthan chief minister and his second wife is the state's former minister and MP, sources said.
Ms Raje, after visiting the late princes house, visited the historical Tripureswari temple in Udaipur, about 60 km from here to offer puja.
She is scheduled to fly to Kolkata this evening before returning to Rajasthan, sources added.
Security measures had been tightened here and on Agartala-Udaipur road in view of the chief ministers visit to the state.
