Punj Lloyd bags contract for LDPE plant in Thailand

New Delhi, Dec 1 (UNI) Punj Lloyd Ltd today said that group, a global infrastructure services provider, has secured a large contract for construction of a low density polyethylene (LDPE) plant at Thailand.

The order is from PTT Polyethylene Company Ltd (PTT PE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of PTT Chemical Company Ltd, jointly with its partner Toyo Thai Corporation Ltd.

However, the value of the contract was not disclosed by the company.

The plant is to be built at PTT PE site at Map-Ta-Phut as part of its cracker complex, and will incorporate Basell Lupotech T technology.

The plant will be the 36th high pressure polyethylene plant of this type to be executed by Simon Carves, a UK-based member company of the group, which signed the agreement.
