Protest in Ambala against Kanpur incident

Ambala, Dec 1 (UNI) The Jatav Samaj today took out protest march against disfiguring the statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar in Kanpur and burnt Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav in effigy.

The protesters, after passing through the main markets of the town, held a rally which was addressed by the dalit leaders who strongly condemned the UP CM and later burnt him in effigy.

The BJP Scheduled Castes Morcha incharge and former MP Rattan Lal Kataria also condemned the Uttar Pradesh government which had failed to protect the dalits in the state.

He alleged that desecration of the statue of Ambedkar was done at the instance of the ruling party to appease the members of the minority community.
