New districts demanded in Manipur

Imphal, Dec 1 (UNI) After the Jiribam sub-division's demand of a full fledged revenue district, the Sadar Hills District Demand Committee have also demanded to convert the Sadar Hills into a full fledged revenue district.

So far, there are altogether nine districts in Manipur.

The demand committee have alleged that Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh had ignored the demands of Sadar Hills whereas favoured those of Jiribam, sources said.
