Mullford leaves for Delhi
Kolkata, Dec 1 (UNI) US Ambassador to India David Mullford left the city early today cancelling a couple of programmes he was to attend here.
In an official statement from the American Centre it was stated that Mr Mullford left due to some pressing engagement in Delhi.
He came on a three-day visit to the state and met Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee. The meeting has been stated to be very successful where both had taken initiatives to mend fences if any were still broken.
Mr Mullford was supposed to address the local press at the American Centre.
