MRPL to scale capacity to 15 mln tonnes by 2010

Mangalore, Dec 1 (UNI) Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals (MRPL) will scale its capacity to 15 rpt 15 million tonnes from the current 9.69 million tonnes by 2010 with an investment of Rs 8,000 crore.

The upgrading work at its refinary will start from mid-2007, said MRPL Director (Finance) L K Gupta.

Tenders for the said project will soon be floated and the maximum investments would be incurred between 2007-08 and 2008-09, he added.
