Kanichukulangara Murder Case:4th accused gets bail
Kochi, Dec 1 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today granted conditional bail to Shiby, the fourth accused in the Kanichukulangara murder case.
Bail was granted on he executing a bond of Rs 50,000 with two solven sureties for the like sum to the satisfaction of the Judicial First Class Magistrate, Alappuzha.
Opposing the petition for bail, the Additional Director-General of Prosecution submitted that if the petitioner was released on bail now it would affect the smooth investigation of the case.
Counsel for the petitioner told the Court that the accused had been under custody for more than 465 days.
Allowing the petition, Mr Justice V Ramkumar said the case was still at the stage of investigation and it was not known when it would be completed.
The court also said three other accused in the case had already been granted bail.
