IAIM to set up institute in West Bengal

Kolkata, Nov 30 (UNI) Brisbane based India Australia Institute of Management(IAIM) is planning to set up a state-of-the-art education institute to offer accountancy, business management and hotel management courses in West Bengal.

IAIM is planning to set up the institute in 500 acres of land within 25 km radius of Kolkata, ADMS Career Solutions Pvt Ltd, promoters of IAIM, Director Sujoy Maitra told reporters here today.

The company proposed to invest around Rs 100 crore for the institute in a phased manner over the next five years, Mr Maitra said.

In the meantime, IAIM has tied up with BBI Consultants Pvt Ltd, which runs a management school in the name of Aurobindo Bose Institute of Science, Technology and Management.

The Indian students would have to complete their courses in Australia and offered placement in that country. The total course fee would be around Rs 11 lakhs, Mr Maitra said.

The classed would begin on February 2007 and the first batch of successful students were expected to land in Australia by February 2008, he added.
