HP opens its India SOA center
Bangalore, Dec 1 (UNI) Global IT major HP today inaugurated the India service-oriented architecture (SOA) center here as part of its 500 million Dollar global investment strategy to deliver world-class SOA to enterprise customers.
India center, its one among the five such centers would support capability creation and service delivery of HP globally. It would be a critical component of HP's service offering portfolio and project delivery capabilities to enterprise customers.
SOA was an approach to deliver IT services in a secure and manageable way that used loosely connected, reusable and standards-based technology that can be quickly aligned to changing business needs.
Som Mittal Senior VP (Technology Solutions Group) of HP after inaugurating the center said, "The India center will strengthen HP's SOA offering and will be a key to component of the company's Adaptive Infrastructure technology to deliver IT as a service, building towards an automated, 24x7, 'lights-out' computing environment." In addition to Bangalore center, HP had unveiled two more SOA competency centers based in California and Singapore. Two others, in France and Japan were also ready for operations, he added.
