Govt tables Sachar Committee Report in Rajya Sabha

New Delhi, Nov 30 (UNI) The Government today tabled the Sachar Committee Report on the Social, Economic and Educational status of Muslims in India in the Rajya Sabha amid protests by the BJP that it had already been leaked to the media.

After the Report was tabled by Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Suresh Pachauri, BJP leader Sushma Swaraj pointed out that excerpts of Report had already been published and the 14th instalment was in today's newspaper.

Ms Swaraj said that earlier the report was slated to be tabled in the House on November 27 but due to the absence of its Hindi version, it was delayed till today. ''However, even, now the report is tabled without the Hindi version,'' she added.

She also claimed that Parliament propriety had been clearly violated in this case.
