Corporation employee asphyxiated

Chennai, Dec 01 (UNI) A 27-year-old Chennai Corporation employee died of asphyxiation at suburban Thorapakkam last night.

According to police, the deceased Nagendran engaged Arumugam and Nallasamy for cleaning the septic tank at his house. The two, who went inside the tank inhaled some toxic fume and shouted for help.

Nagendren attempted to rescue them but he swooned into the tank.

On information, fire service personnel went to the spot and rushed all the three to Government Royapettah hospital, where Nagendren was declared brought dead by doctors.

The other two were recovering, police added.
