CID asked to submit report on violence within a month: Deshmukh
Mumbai, Dec 1 (UNI) Maharashtra government has asked the State CID to conduct an inquiry into eruption of violence in various parts of the State, following desecration of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar's statue in Kanpur.
Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil today said the intelligence bureau would be asked to look into the rapid spread of violence in various parts of Maharashtra and submit the report to the government within a month.
Mr Deshmukh also announced that Additional Director General, Law and Order, Sanjeev Dayal would conduct an inquiry into the incident of burning of coaches of Deccan Queen and a suburban local train at Ulhasnagar in Thane district.
