Builder looted at gun point in Vadodara

Vadodara, Nov 30 (UNI) Five unidentified miscreants today robbed a city builder and his wife to the tune of over Rs 5 lakh at gun point at their Kareliabaug residence here.

The armed robbers, who entered builder Jayanti Patel's residence this evening, posing as his son's friends, decamped with gold and other valuables worth over Rs 5 lakh after inflicting injuries to the couple and their neighbour with sharp-edged weapons. The injured were rushed to nearby SSG hospital, police said.

The miscreants later fled in the builder's car parked outside his residence. A manhunt has been launched to nab the culprits, police added.
