Autorickshaw campaign to create AIDS awareness in UT

Puducherry, Dec 1 (UNI) Campaigning by autorickshaw, conferences and adventure motorcycle were organised to mark 'World AIDS Day in the Union Territory today.

MGR public welfare social forum along with PACE social service movement organised autorickshaw campaign throughout the town to create AIDS awareness while the AIDS Control Society with some voluntary organsations conducted conferences and seminars to mark the occasion.

Sponsored by the Nehru Yuva Kendra and AIDS Control Society, a youth John Peter, took a daring mission by piloting a motorcycle facing rearside and winding through the various thoroughfares of Puducherry town to spread AIDS awareness.

DMK legislator P Siva flagged off the adventurous motorcycle journey.

Chief Minister N Rangasamy will inaugurate a red ribbon club and distribute prizes for various competitions organised in connection with the World Aids Day this evening.
