Antony refuses comment on Mullaperiyar
Kozhikode, Dec 1 (UNI) Defence Minister A K Antony refused to comment on the vexed Mullaperiyar issue stating the Cabinet should not be biased towards a particular state.
''It is not fair on the part of a Cabinet member to take sides with a particular state,'' he told reporters here.
However, Mr antony said his stand on the issue would be made known at an appropriate time and place.
The Defence Minister was here on his way to Thiruvambadi for campaigning for the United Democratic Front( UDF) candidate George M Thomas.
On the World Bank-aided Kerala State Transport Project issue, he welcomed the government's decision for a vigilance probe.
Criticising the administration for its 'failure' in farm sector, Mr Antony said the government which came to power by highlighting ryots' issues, had ignored them after assuming office.
