Analog Devices opens IC test devt facility in Bangalore

Bangalore, Dec 1 (UNI) Analog Devices Inc, a global leader in high-performance semiconductors for signal processing applications, today announced the opening of a new integrated circuit (IC) test development facility in the city.

Located in Analog Devices' India headquarters here, the new facility would allow the company to carry out complete product development from India, ensuring superior product quality and faster turnaround time. The new facility, equipped with state-of-the-art Automatic Test Equipment, was inaugurated by Mr Gerald McGuire, General Manager, Convergent Platforms and Services Group, Analog Devices.

Commenting on the launch, Mr McGuire said it was a reiteration of Analog Devices' commitment to India. ''This facility will enable us to undertake the product development cycle in its entirety from India and ensure that our products continue to deliver beyond our customers' expectations by meeting the highest quality standards.'' Analog Devices India Managing Director Dr Reddy Penumalli said ''while IC design is a well developed competence, IC test development is an emerging area of competence in India.
