Youths held for rape

Puducherry, Nov 30 (UNI) Police arrested two youths on charges of raping a 15 year old girl here today.

The girl who went to a shop on the night of November 23, was abducted by Sankaran(22) of Pallinaliyoor along with his friends and allegedly raped.

Police who initially failed to register a case following a complaint from the parents of the girl,registered the case follwoing the intervention of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in the issue.

While Sankaran was arrested for raping the girl, his friend Rajarathinam was arrested for assisting him in the abduction.

Police are on the look out for two more youths in connection with the case.
