Tansen Samaroh begins tomorrow

Bhopal, Nov 30 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will confer prestigious 'Tansen' award to eminent classical singer Sulochana Brihaspati on the first day of 'Tansen Samaroh' beginning tomorrow.

The four-day programme -- organised in premises of Tansen's samadhi -- will be chaired by Water Resource Minister Anup Mishra.

School Education Minister Narottam Mishra will be the special guest, while Culture Minister Lakshmikant Sharma and Minister of State for Social Justice and Revenue Narayan Singh Kushwah will also take part.

Various artists from across the country will take part in morning and evening musical programmes on December 2 and 3.

On December 4, morning programme will be organised in Tansen's birthplace at Behat in Gwalior.

The samaroh has been jointly organised by the Culture Directorate and the Ustad Alauddin Khan Sangit Evam Kala Academy.

The programme will begin with 'Harikatha' and 'Milad' at Tansen 'samadhi' premises.
