Bangalore, Nov 30 (UNI) Public Sector Syndicate Bank proposes to introduce Core Banking Solution (CBS) in 1500 branches by March 2007, Bank Chairman and Managing Director C P Swaranakar said today.

Talking to newsmen here, he said that at present CBS has been introduced in 1001 branches with FLEXICUBE from i-flex solutions, a technology solution provider and with IBM as the System Integrator and implementation partner. Syndicate Bank was the first Public Sector Bank in the country to adopt core banking as early in 2001.

''It has become the first Indian Public Sector Bank with unique distinction of having covered 80 per cent of its business under Core Banking,'' he added.

Deployment of the FLEXICUBE CBS has enabled single customer view and anywhere, anytime banking, thereby enhancing the scope and quality of customer service.
