Sourav should have been called much earlier : CM

Kolkata, Nov 30 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today congratulated Sourav Ganguly on being selected to the Indian Test Squad.

''The selection deserves congratulations. However, he should have been called back to the team much earlier,'' he said while speaking on a point of information raised by Congress chief whip Manas Bhunia in the Assembly here today.

Meanwhile, Sourav said he felt happy to be back in the Indian squad and hopes to add value to his inclusion by getting some good runs.

He said ''I am happy to be back. I just want to go there and do well. I just want to give my best. I wii be playing with the same group and so there would be no problem at all.'' UNI KDG PP KK PM KN1419
