Rupee opens high by two paise at 44.71/72 against per USD
Mumbai, Nov 30 (UNI) The rupee today opened higher by two paise and was quoted at Rs 44.71/72 against the US dollar as compared to it's previous close of Rs 44.69/70 per USD, on account of fresh selling pressure on the dollar, resorted to by foreign and nationalised bankes, dealers said.
Later, the domestic currency lowered at 44.77/78 during the mid-morning session, due to short-covering by local dealers.
It is now trading lower again by six paise at Rs 44.75/76 per USD from it's previous close, because of sustained buying support extended to the dollar by foreign and local banks, traders added.
