Pondy Cabinet approves waiver on farm loans

Puducherry, Nov 30 (UNI) The Puducherry Cabinet, which met under the Presidentship of Chief Minister N Rangasamy here tonight, approved waiver on farm loans, withdrawal of election related cases and tax exemption to cooked foods.

All ministers and senior officials including Chief Secretary participated in the meeting which lasted for over one hour.

Later, talking to reporters here, Mr Rangasamy said the meeting also discussed in detail the implementation of Value Added Tax (VAT) and devolution of powers to local bodies.
