NTPC's Vindhyachal stage-III project to commence operations

New Delhi, Nov 30 (UNI) State-owned power major National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) today said the 500 MW Unit-I at Vindhyachal Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-III will commence commercial operation from December One.

With the commercial operation of this unit, the total installed and commercial capacity of the said project would be 2,760 MW.

Recently, the company's board had given the investment approval for the Tapovan Vishnugad Hydro Electric Power Project (4 x130 MW) as a merchant power plant at an estimated cost of Rs 3,425 crore.
