Hyderabad, Nov 30 (UNI) Millennium Infotech Inc USA President Ramana Krosuri said they recently launched Indian and Middle East Operations to offer data centre management and application solutions.

Addressing mediapersons here today in connection with a conference on 'Application Acceleration-what you need to succeed', he said the other plans include a ramp up operations in India, which will be a global delivery hub for Millennium Infotech and its various subsidaries and global customers.

The company had plans to build one of the largest, most advanced, secured and robust data centres infrastructure for ensuring business continuity with zero down time, he said.

Mr Krosuri said the other plans included scaling up resource base in a phased manner upto 2,000 in next two years and also to set up an advanced technology lab by 2007 to provide training on the latest technologies for in house and client needs.

The company also planned to invest 100 million US dollars in two years for Indian operations.

The speakers at the conference said businesses were becoming more reliant on the Wide Area Network (WAN). As workforces were becoming more distributed they must relay on WANs for communications between headquarters and branch offices.

They said application performance across WANs should improve dramatically, if globalization and data centralisation were to succeed.

The objective of the conference was to create awareness about the Wide Area Data Services (WAD Service), which was the latest technology tested and accepted globally on Wide Area Network optimization and acceleration.
