Mild quake rocks Sambhar and Dataramgarh in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Nov 30 (UNI) A mild earthquake measuring 2.9 on the richter scale jolted areas surrounding Sambhar and Dataramgarh in Jaipur, Nagaur and Sikar districts in Rajasthan early this morning.

According to Geological Survey of India (GSI), the quake was epicentred at 27.2 degree north and 75.1 degree east, about 27 km westward from Jaipur near Sambhar and Dataramgarh.

However, the quake which took place at around 0404 hrs this morning had no reports of any casualty or damage to property.

Meanwhile, an earthquake measuring 3.9 on the richter Scale was felt in Rajasthan's Alwar district yesterday.
