Malati appointed as new Home Secretary

Chennai, Nov 30 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Government today appointed S Malathi, IAS, as the new Home Secretary.

Ms Malathi, hitherto Special Commissioner and Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, will replace Mr Pavan Raina, who retired from service this afternoon.

Mr T Jacob, Project Director, Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project and Ex-officio Special Secretary, will take over as Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, an official release here said.
