Life threatening letters to TN CM, Dist Collector

Coimbatore, Nov 30 (UNI) The Coimbatore District Collectorate here received a letter from extremist outfit Al-Umma, threatening Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and District Collector Neeraj Mittal.

The threat issued on two post cards warned that they would be killed by a suicide bomber on December six if the Tamil Nadu government does not raise the age limit for recruitment of government officials and police constables from 24 years to 29 years.

It may be recalled that a letter with the same content was received by Tirupur Municipal Chairman Selvaraj, on Tuesday last.
