''We hope that Mr Ganguly will justify his inclusion, play his own game and maintain forebearance under all circumstances,'' CPI Floor leader in the Lok Sabha Gurudas Dasgupta told mediapersons at a press conferenc in the precincts of Parliament.

The battle and protest against Saurav's exclusion was not confined to West Bengal but extended to the whole of the country, he said.

Replying to a queries, Mr Dasgupta said his party would soon raise other sports matters in Parliament, while maintaining Mr Chappell should ''resign on his own.'' ''Let Mr Chappell understand that he is not cut for politics,'' the CPI leader said, refering to Team India coach's comment on the Members of Parliament (MPs).

''Besides he is a fanatic,'' he added.

Quoting the Rajya Sabha record, Mr Dasgupta sought to justify the MPs interest in the sport even while terming it a ''colonial'' game.
