Jeweller shot at in Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 29 (UNI) The owner of a jewellery shop was injured when two unidentified persons opened fire at him in Malad here late evening today.

The unidentified persons had gone to Nayam Mall's shop to enquire about the prices of gold ornaments where they found the 55-year-old owner of Mahavir Jewellers busy counting cash. This angered one of them, who opened fire at the jeweller, injuring him in the neck, police said.

Nayam Mall has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra.

Police have registered a case of attempt to murder and are on the lookout of the absconders, police said.
