Indentify foreigners in Asom, Resume dialogue with ULFA: MPs

New Delhi, Nov 30 (UNI) Mr Sarbananda Sonwal (AGP) today urged the Centre to detect the foreign nationals in Asom and delete their names from the electoral rolls.

Raising the issue in the Lok Sabha during zero hour, Mr Sonwal said the continued infiltration of Bangladeshi nationals into Asom was threatening the political and cultural identity of the people of the state.

The Prime Minister and the Home Minister had promised to initiate steps for checking infiltration and detection of foreign nationals but nothing had been done so far, he regretted.

ULFA: Dr Arun Kumar Sarma (AGP) wanted the Centre to resume unconditional talks with the ULFA in the interest of the people of the state.
