Illegal arms recovered, 4 arrested in Basti

Basti, Nov 30 (UNI) Four history-sheeters were arrested with illegal arms in their possession in Basti district late last night, police said today.

Superintendent of Police R P Chaturvedi said acting on a tip-off, security personnel reached the Gaur Police Station area and nabbed Ram Singh, Arvind Singh, Dharm Raj Singh and Abdul.

On being frisked, three pistols and 12 cartridges were recovered from their possession.

A case had been registered, the police said.
