HPMC wines to rule the roost in Goa: MD

Shimla, Nov 30 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Produce, Processing and Marketing Corporation's (HPMC) fruit wines of Apple, Plum and Pear will rule the roost at Goa during the New Year eve parities.

The corporation and the Goa's State Horticulture Corporation has signed a agreement under which both would promote each other's wines and other products in their respective states, HPMC's Managing Director CRB Lalit said in a release at New Delhi.

Under the agreement, while Goa would promote the sale of Himachal apple, plum and pear wines through its 200-odd retail outlets, Himachal would facilitate in selling Goa's produce of cashew, coconut, Copra and cocum through its 400-odd retail outlets spread across the country, he said.

Mr Lalit said besides wines, the Goa's Horticulture Corporation would also push through the sale of all Himachali products like apple juices, jams and jellys.

The Himachal and Goa Governments would issue licenses to each other for selling its wine in each other's territory, he added.
