Haryana: Deadline in power bill waiver scheme extended
Chandigarh, Nov 30 (UNI) The Haryana Power Utilities have decided to extend upto December 31 the electricity bill arrear waiver scheme for defaulter consumers.
A spokesman for the Power Utilities said the defaulter consumers, who could not avail the electricity bills arrear waiver scheme, could now join it by making payment of their current bills issued from June, 2005.
No surcharge would be levied on the bills but they would have to pay Rs 180 as a late entry fee, he said.
The waiver scheme was meant for domestic and agricultural consumers in villages.
The facility of reconnection of the disconnected connections would also be available upto December 31 under the waiver scheme.
