Guj BJP demands decrease in petroleum prices by 25 per cent
Ahmedabad, Nov 30 (UNI) The Gujarat Unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today demanded that the Congress-led UPA Government should bring down petroleum products' prices by 25 per cent on par with the price-cut in the international market.
In a statement issued here, Gujarat BJP President Purshottam Rupala alleged that the cut of Rs 2 in prices of petrol and diesel by the UPA government was nothing but ''an eyewash''.
Mr Rupala categorically demanded that when the Government increased the prices as per rise in interntional market, it should cut the prices maintaining the same yardstick.
