Expansion proposals of RAP received: Jaiswal

Itanagar, Nov 30 (UNI) Union Home Minister of State Sriprakash Jaiswal said he had received the proposals on expansion of RAP or PAP (a system of permits) for foreigners in North East.

Arunachal MP Kiren Rijiju had on Tuesday said the proposals are related to expansion, modification, addition, deletion of the existing restricted and protected areas, increase in the number of days allowed in the permit, size of the tourist group and restriction on their movement, Mr Jaiswal added.

The minister further informed that the locations of RAP or PAP areas are as defined in the Foreigners (Protected Areas) Order, 1958 and Foreigners (Restricted Areas) Order, 1963, which were amended from time to time.
