Drunken driver bites back at traffic cop

MOSCOW, Nov 30 (Reuters) A drunken Russian motorist put his keys in his mouth to stop a traffic policeman confiscating his car, and then bit the officer when he tried to retrieve them, police said.

''Despite the driver's desperate resistance, the ignition keys were taken from him,'' Interfax news agency quoted a spokesman for traffic police in the Kemerovo region of Siberia as saying.

''The car was impounded and its owner was sent to a cell to sober up,'' said the spokesman.
