Court notice to Gowarikar on 'Jodha-Akbar'

Jaipur, Nov 30 (UNI) A session court here issued notice to director of the under production film 'Jodha-Akbar' Ashutosh Gowarikar and his production company today for allegedly wrongly depicting history of Jodha Bai in the film.

The court issued the notice on a civil suit filed by Rajput Sabha president Narendra Singh Rajawat seeking a temporary injunction on the shooting of the film.

The complainant pointed out that Jodha Bai, the daughter of Mota Raja Udai Singh was married to Akbar's son Salim in the year 1586 while in the film, the director by twisting history has made Jodha Bai, the Hindu wife of Akbar.

The court asked Ashutosh Gowarikar and his production company Ashutosh Gowarikar Production Pvt Ltd to reply by December 6.
