Bush, Maliki start talks on Iraq
AMMAN, Nov 30 (Reuters)US President George W Bush began crunch talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in Jordan today on ways to try to stem sectarian carnage threatening to tear Iraq apart, officials said.
Their breakfast meeting came a day after US officials insisted the Iraqi leader was not offended by a critical White House memo and had not snubbed the US president in Amman.
