BJP, CPM complain of irregularities in MLC voters lists
Hyderabad, Nov 30 (UNI) The BJP and the CPI(M) today complained of irregularities in the preparation of voters lists for the Graduates and Teachers constituencies for the Legislative Council elections.
Both the parties today submitted memoranda in this regard to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Bhaskar.
The BJP delegation met the CEO and complained that Election Officers of Kurnool, Karimnagar and Kadapa had not furnished the voters lists as was rightful to Opposition parties.
Though irregularities were brought to the notice of the authorities concerned no action was taken so far, they added.
A CPI(M) delegation led by its state executive member Venkateswara Rao also met the CEO and registered the complaint.
The BJP also accused the Congress of misuse of power and distribution of money to woo the voters in the Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency, ahead of the bypoll.
