ASI suspended for beating woman

Sheopur, MP, Nov 30 (UNI) An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) has been suspended for allegedly beating the wife of an accused in district sessions court premises here.

Superintendent of Police Abhay Singh said Shagunlal Dohre, who was posted at police line, was suspended on Tuesday.

Official sources said yesterday that the accused Dubya Jatav had come along with his wife, Monobai, for hearing in a case when Dohre, who was drunk, beat up Monobai and misbehaved with lawyers.

Chief Judicial Magistrate K M Khan had directed police to take immediate action in this case.
