Additional Observer for Chamundeswari bypoll

Mysore, Nov 30 (UNI) The Election Commission has deputed an additional observer for the byelection to the Chamundeswari Assembly constituency, scheduled for December four.

Official sources here said Additional Observer Anand Singh, a senior IAS officer of the Kerala cadre, would take charge tomorrow.

Election Observer J Raymond Peter, Accounts Observer Pramod Kumar, besides Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer S Selvakumar were already supervising the election-related works of the candidates and their parties in the run up to the bypoll in the constituency.

It may be recalled that the coalition partners -- JD(S) and BJP -- have accused Mr Peter of acting in a biased manner.
